The City that never sleeps (but closes up a bit for New Year!)_ "We travel afar!"

We had a great time in Las Palmas. There were a few glitches over closed sights and eateries, which mean we might not repeat a New Year stay, but we are already looking at another break after Carnaval,

This two minute slide show sums it up:

Back at base on 2nd January Greyrocks turned its thoughts to Reyes (Kings) and the biggest close-down of the season. The weather wasn't too great and we decided to miss anything to do with Their Majesties' various processions, but there was unexpected joy on 3rd when Ruth managed to ride the newly-repaired bike! We had a feast on the evening of the 6th, and interesting leftovers on 6th, but by then Bob was suffering with yet another cold (Flying again!?) so didn't do much else! The six expats from the Greek evening went out as a group to Fado Rock and were treated too a range of extras and freebies!

That was on 7th which marked the end of a festive season even longer than usual with the extra Bank Holiday on the Monday. The kids went back to school next day, and the decorations started to come down. Greyrocks started packing, mending, fridge-clearing  and organising for the Goa expedition, Bob's cold has slowly waned.

Watch this space!
